« La fusion de deux passions ; l’art et le cuivre. »

 

(FR) – Née à Lausanne (Suisse) le 30 novembre 1993, j’ai grandi et étudié à Aigle (CH).

J’ai découvert le travail de cuivre pour la première fois avec mon père, en 2006, en participant à un événement (JOM : Journée Oser tous les Métiers) fait pour des enfants pour connaître les emplois associés au genre opposé. Après cela, j’ai rapidement été passionnée par le cuivre et d’autres métaux.

En 2009, à l’âge de 15 ans, j’ai décidé de commencer un apprentissage de ferblantière dans la ville de Saint-Maurice. Trois ans plus tard, après l’acquisition de mon CFC (Certificat Fédéral de Capacité), j’ai totalement changé de voie en commençant une Maturité Professionnelle Artistique post-CFC, à Vevey (au CEPV). J’ai obtenu mon diplôme d’art l’année suivante.

Déjà très autodidacte avant cette année d’études, cette dernière m’a néanmoins permis d’apprendre les bases de l’Art avec un grand « A » …un complément essentiel pour alimenter mon travail de tous les jours.

De cette expérience, est né en moi le désir de lier mon intérêt pour l’art et le métal ensemble, simplement faire de mes passions, mon travail.

Je crée donc ma propre entreprise, tout en restant intéressée par les études… Ainsi, depuis septembre 2013 à juin 2014, mon quotidien est partagé entre mon atelier à Aigle et l’École Cantonale d’Art du Valais, à Sierre (ECAV), une école dans laquelle j’ai fait un an de cours préparatoires d’arts visuels pour avoir accès au Bachelor dans le même domaine.

Finalement, en été 2014, après avoir appris que le travail artistique des métaux tel que je l’imaginais n’était pas possible dans cette école, j’ai décidé de continuer mon travail en tant que mon propre patron et développer mon travail pour pouvoir en vivre un jour.

En raison de mes influences artistiques, je tends à effacer le vieux cliché des casseroles de cuivre traditionnellement accrochées au mur, afin de nous faire voir l’art qui se cache derrière l’artisanat.

En outre, j’ai déjà participé à des expositions en Suisse Romande et en Italie et j’essaie d’être découverte en prenant des commandes de particuliers, ainsi qu’en vendant mes propres créations.

La mort, l’avenir, le monde imaginaire, la nature, des portraits et la géométrie sont des sujets récurrents dans mes œuvres d’art(illustrations).

Mes passions sauf l’art et le métal, sont la photographie, voyageant et la fabrication vidéo. J’utilise parfois mes images de voyage pour trouver l’inspiration en essayant d’appliquer la texture des paysages dans mon art.

Mes influences artistiques sont le réalisme, le surréalisme, l’art abstrait et naïf. J’apprécie particulièrement les œuvres de Wassily Kandinsky (peinture) et Arthur Rimbaud (poésie) que je considère comme des maîtres, en matière d’art. → Voir : influences artistiques ←

L’égalité d’homme/femme actuelle, la liberté de parole, l’écologie, la pauvreté et le recyclage sont les sujets qui m’ont une signification de détail.

 

(EN) – Born in Lausanne (Switzerland) on the 30^th of november 1993, I grew up and studied in Aigle (CH).

I discovered the copper work for the first time with my father, in 2006, by taking part to a special event made for children to learn about jobs generaly associated to the opposite gender.

After that, I have quickly been passionated by the copper and other metals.

In 2009, at the age of 15, I decided to begin an apprenticeship of tinsmith in the city of Saint-Maurice. Three years later, after acquiring my FCC (Federal Certificate of Capacity), I totally changed of way by beginning a post-FCC Professional Artistic Maturity, in Vevey (CEPV).

I obtained my art diploma the next year.

Already very self-taught before this year of studies, the latter nevertheless allowed me to learn the bases of the Art with a big « A »… an essential complement to feed my everyday’s work.

From this experience, is born the desire to bind my interest for art and metal together, to simply do my passions as my job.

So I create my own company but still interested in studying…Since september 2013 to june 2014, my everyday’s life is shared between my workshop in Aigle and The Cantonal School of Fine Arts of Valais, in Sierre (ECAV), a school in which I did one year of foundation course in Fine Arts to access to a Bachelor in Fine Arts.

Finally, in the summer 2014, after having learned that metal working wasn’t possible in this school, I decided to continue my job as my own boss and develop my work to make it become a living art.

Due to my artistic influences, I tend to erase the old cliché of the traditional copper pans hanging on the wall, to make us see the art that hides behind the craft.

Besides, I already took part at exhibitions in the French-speaking part of Switzerland and in Italy and I tend to be discovered by taking private person orders, sometimes by selling my own creations.

The death, future, fantasy world, nature, portraits and geometry are recurrent subjects in my artworks.

My passions except art and metal, are photography, travelling and video making. I sometimes use my travel pictures to find inspiration by trying to apply the texture of the landscapes in my art.

My artistic influences are realism, surrealism, abstract and naive art. I particulary appreciate the works of Wassily Kandinsky (painting) and Arthur Rimbaud (poetry) which I consider as masters, regarding art. → See artistic influences here ←

The current man/woman equality, freedom of speech, ecology, poverty and recycling are subjects that have a particular meaning to me.
